Sleeping Pods by Smarte Carte - Terms and Conditions:
1. Rest and Comfort
While we strive to provide a calm and comfortable space for rest, our Sleeping Pods are not completely soundproof or lightproof and are located within an active airport environment. For your comfort, we recommend using earplugs and an eye mask to help you relax and enjoy your stay.
2. Payment and Booking
Full payment is required to secure your booking.
3. Check-In
Customers must check in at Baggage Storage and Wrapping, located in Terminal 1 opposite check-in counters 21–22, prior to accessing their Sleeping Pod.
- Identification: Valid photo identification is required at check-in.
- Pod Allocation: Each customer is allocated a specific Sleeping Pod at check-in.
- Pod Access: Customers are provided with a PIN code for their assigned Sleeping Pod. This PIN is valid only for the padlock on their assigned Sleeping Pod and for the duration of the booking period. The padlock must remain with the pod at all times. If the padlock is misplaced, damaged, or taken, a replacement fee of $280 will be charged.
- Luggage Storage:
- Hand Luggage: Hand luggage can be safely stored under the seat during your stay. No luggage may be left unattended outside the pods. If you vacate the pod, you must take all luggage and belongings with you.
- Additional Storage: If you need to store additional items, please email perth@baggagestorage.com.au or call +61 437 988 851. Storage for up to 2 additional items is included in your booking. Extra items will incur standard storage fees.
- All stored items may be subject to security checks, physical inspections, and/or explosive trace detection (ETD) screening by Smarte Carte or relevant airport security authorities.
4. Cancellations and No Shows
- Cancellations (More than 24 Hours): Bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to check-in for a full refund.
- Cancellations (Within 24 Hours): For cancellations made within 24 hours of check-in, please email perth@baggagestorage.com.au or call +61 437 988 851. The booking fee will not be refunded.
- No Shows: Failure to check in will result in the reservation expiring, and the Sleeping Pod will be made available to other customers.
- Failure to Notify: Failure to notify us prior to your check-in time will result in forfeiture of the total booking amount.
5. Occupancy
Only one person may use a Sleeping Pod at a time. Exceptions apply for parents with an infant or young child (up to 4 years of age).
6. Appropriate Use
- Customers must remain clothed at all times while using the Sleeping Pod.
- No food or drink is to be consumed inside the Sleeping Pod.
- Shoes must be removed while using the Sleeping Pod.
- A cleaning fee of $250 will be charged if a Sleeping Pod is found to be soiled after use.
7. Right to Refuse Service
Sleeping Pods reserves the right to refuse service to any customer who displays violence, aggression, or disruptive behaviour toward staff or other guests.
8. Personal Belongings
Sleeping Pods by Smarte Carte assumes no liability for loss or damage to items of extraordinary value (e.g., cash, jewellery, electronic devices, etc.).
9. Leaving the Pod Temporarily
If you leave your Sleeping Pod temporarily, you must lock the pod and take all luggage and personal belongings with you.
Sleeping Pods by Smarte Carte assumes no liability if an unlocked pod is occupied by another user.
10. Vacating the Pod
Customers must vacate their Sleeping Pod at the end of their booking. Please lock the pod and take all personal belongings with you.
11. Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency, please follow the evacuation procedure displayed in-store.
